Fuel tap with 3 outlets?

#1 PostAuthor: Andrew_s » Tue Aug 08, 2017 8:44 pm

My Z900 has a fuel tap fitted with 3 outlets, it looks pretty identical to the standard Z900 tap other than the extra outlet. One of the outlets has a 2" length of hose fitted which is blanked off - any idea what it's originally off?

Could be from the later triples (KH's) which changed from the Vacuum tap to the standard Zed type tap only with 3 outlets as in....

Thanks Garry, very helpful - I'll replace it as Kawasaki still sell OEM fuel taps for the Z900, not cheap though.

If your present one is a gen tap then stick it on ebay as it'll fetch decent money. As I'm sure many will confirm the pattern one's are on the whole pretty crap.

Paul, thanks for the tip - I'll make sure it is when it arrives.

Garry, yes it is an original tap and it works ok and doesn't leak - any idea of its value?

Cheers

Having placed the order with Kawasaki it now seems Z900 OEM fuel taps are not longer available, so I guess the KH triple one stays fitted for the time being...........
