Can anyone help or recommend someone ?
I would like my Z1a engine stripped and the Head and Crank Cases etc blasting, before rebuilding replacing any parts that are required.
Engine has covered 27,000 Miles.
Thanks
Cas

there a number of us who can do this - depends on what needs doing as to costs.

I'm assuming you want someone local.

As I will have to drop off and pick up, would like within 100 miles of LE67.
Although the main objective is cosmetical, I would want worn items replacing.
Would like to discuss scope of work once someone is established.

Steve Smethurst does a great job but he is not cheap :!:

I had 2 engines done by him and was really pleased , He does work for Dave Marsden at Z-Power :!:

When a Z1 engine is striped down first things definitely needed are listed below and I brought all them all with the engine

1 x Complete Gasket Set
1 x Cam chain 21070-003 { Non Kawasaki Heavy Duty ones are available costing less than genuine}
2 x Idler Rubber 92075-119
2 x Idler Rubber 92075-120
4 x Rubber Guide Roller 92075-232
1 x Tensioner Assembly 12048-001
1 x Roller 12055-002
2 x Rubber Guide Roller 92075-123
1 x Rod Assembly 12054-001
1 x Spring for Tensioner 92081-107
1 x Guide For Cam Chain 12053-119

I would also consider a new set of piston rings

I may be too late with this reply but i recently used Dave Cunningham at TSR Vapour Blasting. He's in Sevenoaks, Kent but i UPS'd it to him for around £40 from Nottingham. Very impressed with his work, very clean, and very well cleaned out. Cost somewhere between £250 and £300. Can't be certain as he did a few other bits and bobs for me.
Overall, thoroughly recommended.
