When my my 79 Z1000 gets stored this winter, I will prob be leaving tank full of fresh fuel with STABIL added - Would it be a good idea to drain the carbs (vacuum tap) or just leave as is having run the engine to get the STABIL mix into the carbs ? Cheers.

Two schools of thought on this, some drain all the fuel out of the bike others ad stabiliser(like me) i find when carbs are dry they often leak when fueled up again as do fuel taps...

Agreed . Carbs don't like being kept dry but modern ethanol fuel is a problem . A full tank of ethanol free is a good idea if you find it.
