Re: timing
Sure you are on plug 4 lead? one coil feeds 1 and 4 the two outer pots, the other coil feeds 2 and 3 the two inner pots, trace hts back to coil outputs.

Re: timing
Not sure how the Boyer thing works, but you would get this on the standard set up if the points cam was fitted 180 deg out.
That would mean removing the bolt from the advance unit and turn the cam and refitting.

Re: timing
You can go on to the Boyer website and print off the fitting instructions, i am not 100% sure but i think on some of the kits all four plugs fire at the same time, there was/is an issue with rotor positioning due to the way Kawasaki made things.
Re: timing
It does run and tick over but it drops u rev it and goes up again the boyer system isnt new it was on bike when i bought it so prob quite a few years old .one thing i did notice i get 12.5 volts with ignition on to coils if i disconnect the the power lead to the box .if i connect it i only get 11 ish volts goin to coils just wondering if its had it and maybe better goin to points
