Paul.
I just let my last remaining o ring go to the member that was looking for one to go in his A2 cylinder.
He didn’t use it.

They are available at any o ring shop.

Hi Chris long time no see,did look at generic nitrile rubber jobbies but concerned brake fluid may degrade as could not see any that said brake fluid proof! |Have sourced one from previous suggestion Redline in Usa,he seems to have quite a bit of unobtanium...all the best Chap, what you working on? btw

Nitrile - Good resistance to minerial oils and grease, hydraulic oils and non-flammable hydraulic pressure fluids.

Any size you like, delivery next day for pence, I've used them lots.

Let's face it, Kawasaki don't make O-rings, they buy them.
Cheers,

Mark.

Check these out, I didn't realise that there were so many seals.......
I've used them with no problems.

I'm going to be overhauling the rear brake system on the Z1R I've recently acquired. Looks like the master cylinder is weeping at the joint between plastic reservoir and ally body.

What is the correct size of o ring under there....is it definately 2.5mm x section and 50mm o/d ?

As far as I can see, it needs to be made from EPDM for the best resistance to glycol based brake fluid.

Any other tips when doing this job...best place for m/c seals etc?

Cheers

Hi Steve, got mine from here he seems to have various rare bits, others have used generic type o rings as long as brake fluid proof,i have fitted this jobby and alls well now,If its the same as a thou one inside reservoir is a plastic drilled disc, hook that out with a right angle pick, two screws under neath that need to come out to enable reservoir to come out,bit of brake fluid on new seal makes it easier to refit...Cheers Paul J

It is preferable to use a new Item if available than any NOS rubber item due to the degrading of the material over maybe forty odd years whether it has been used or not.
