Fuel tank repairs

#1 PostAuthor: Gyesdad » Thu Nov 23, 2017 9:41 am

Can anyone recommend a fuel tank repairer? My tank will need welding and probably a piece putting in around the fuel tap area, so it's not a small job.
thanks in advance.

Gary.

best plan would be to get it stripped back to bare metal & get it lead loaded

A bit of a way from you, but can highly recommend MTS Classics motorcycles near Milton Keynes - Steve, Barrie and the rest are top quality restorers.

Have seen a few tank restorations they done - including one of mine for a 72 TS125 pulled back from the brink of falling apart.
When life hands you lemons, reach for the vodka.

Z1B (in Z1A colours), Z1000A1, ZRX1100 C4, Suzuki TS125J (being restored), Suzuki T125J (in boxes), Garelli Rekord MKII (awaiting restoration), most of a Garelli Rekord MKI
