OK, i'm going drag the old girl out and have proper look at her. From memory (not very reliable at the best of times) most of the chrome will need replacing, the exhaust was a harris one will a straight though baffle, d'not think i will get away with that one now. Engine will need striping down as it has not turned over for at least 10 years. Paint work, I have new side panels and tail piece in green so probably get the tank painted to match. Air box missing as per every Z900 A4 it seems. Wheel are after market alloy ones of unknown origin i'll try and but a photo up,hopefully some will have a front to match the rear as mine was damaged. Frame again from memory had some of the lugs cut off so they will need to be replaced, i do have another frame that can donate its lugs. Well until tomorrow.

Only taken out on the occasional sunny day.

Roger to the above ...thats so accurate !!!!! If your gunna keep it ...don't even worry about what other people might say or think.......it's all about what YOU want & think !
Personally I recon if you do a nut & bolt rebuild you will then be too poor & too frightened to take it out & use it...so whats the point ? Me = Practical , reliable & beneficial modifications whilst still retaining it's impeccable thoroughbred standing & identity ........thats what I did & 39 years later .......I still own & ride quite hard & very regularly that same 1975 Zed .
Which ever way you choose ..make it your call & enjoy it. Cheers , Johny Brando.
