The straight idiot lights with curved tacho doesn't really work for me. Maybe the arced segments should be concentric to the centre of the ignition switch?

Bit of a hiatus courtesy of a burst retina blood vessel. Woke up one morning any couldn't see f all out of my right eye as the gel behind the lens was saturated with blood. Major eye surgery required! On the mend now and back at it. I wont post what they had to do in case anyones eating when they read this but 3 hours of wide awake eye surgery isnt to be recomended. The least uncomfortablei bit was sliding a tube between the eye and skull in 4 places to get the back of the eye anethatised.
Got applaud them though, clever b'stards.
Instrument face and base plate done. Just got to do the wrap to create the "pod", mount all the leds, clock, ign switch. Reconnect the wiring and its done.
I'll post a pick in a week or so.

OMG sounds awful! I have some early retinal changes due to diabetes but nothing like what you have been though. Modern medicine is amazing. Hope you are well on the way to recovery now.

Yeah, wasn't fun. All in the name of hobbies though. Did it lifting a complete engine on the bench for stripping. Not 21 anymore it would seem.
Thanks for the good wishes and fingers crossed there is no post surgery complications. Worst bit is Im likely to miss early summer riding weather.

I was just unlucky according to the surgeon, apparently more common to do it straining for a dump. :D

Just to round off the thread, need to repaint the speedo cowl, do a bit of polishing, run the tacho drive into the loom and fit to the bike!

I don't know is the answer Zedhead! just decided to work!

Need to fine tune to syncro revs/leds. Only the ingnition and leds connected hence no idiot lights.
