Don't bother with gixxer flatties , the float bowl angle ends up all wrong and they are more trouble than they are worth to get set up anywhere near.
28's from a Z1R, MK2 or GS1000S will be easily up to the job and is what I would go for.
I run Z1R 28's with a similar spec 1075cc motor and they take it to 160 with ease.
29 or 31 smoothies would be more than adequate but unless you a buying a new set can be a pain to set up due to wear and the s/h prices for them are getting daft making them a bit of a false economy .

Swirl, those were cheap at that price anyway. However, I'd be very surprised is they get delivered before Christmas as DK use UK mail as their courier and they have a terrible reputation for non-delivery. I ordered a rear mudguard over a week ago from DK and UK mail have claimed to have attempted delivery four times, when they have not. I work from home and have been in. I've even received an email from them the other day saying they'd tried to deliver at 12:37 - the email was received at 12:30...
I'm now in contact with DK..
Anyway, hope you have better luck than me - but you got a bargain anyway.

Yes! they are the ones.
Looks like you already had them on the bike then ? so saves a search and a few quid.
Have they got just the air screw on the side (Z1R) or Fuel mix as well at the float bowl ( Suzuki ).

Well that saves me a few quid and the cams, thanks mate, must mean I've got to spend the money on a matt black yoshimura cyclone exhaust

Smoothbores cost the earth, so a Decent set of 28’s maybe better?
Avoid GSXR carbs just coz they’re angled off level - they can be made to work but more hassle?
Bike will still run good with 26’s so no need to panic!

Yes! Z1R carbs with 'A' model idle screw set up.
Just need a some air corrector jets fitted and you are sorted..
Mark (Pigford) mentioned he had a set for sale in another thread not long ago.

I just bought a set of second hand Mikuni 33mm Smooth Bores for £250, admitably I've been looking for a set for over a year.

Depending on what I find lurking in the top end of my J my VM29 Smoothbores might be up for sale in the new year, though I'd want quite a bit more than £250 for them (complete with inlet rubbers and recent K&N filters).

I think £400 is more normal for smooth bores, that's why I snapped these ones up when I saw them for sale

Let's hope they pack them better than the pair i bought off of them, one layer of bubble wrap and a plastic postal bag, rattled around like F**k useless Feckers.
