Does the grab rail have indicator mounts Bedlow ?
Re: Uk specification
Looking at my parts again I seem to have the correct yoke but it has the steering lock cover missing
The headlight is a Stanley 001-0799 fitted with a lucas domed headlamp glass which I am guessing is wrong
On another point the bracing under the headstock does not have the holes in as I have seen on other Z1Bs ...... maybe they have been filled in at some stage ?

Another piece zed knowledge learned
Re: Uk specification
Heres one of my Z1bs the pic was taken in 1977 its one of the last Z1Bs sold so its on a "P" plate they had a few of these hanging around in the dealers at reduced prices as everybody wanted the New Z900.. Notice it came fitted with the Z900 Long mudguard with the reflector on, and a Z900 seat! It also had the later Z900 tank fitted (without the under seams) so a bit of a parts bin job, guess they had run out of the earlier types. It did have the Z1 grab rail fitted so indicators came attached to frame & folding footrests fitted.
Here some other Pics that may be of help
Neimen locks
grey shaft plug caps
stanley 001-0771

Re: Uk specification
Bacon's book has a late model Z1B on the front cover and this is fitted with the later grab rail with mounting for the indicators. I recall this gave more space for throw-over saddle bags!
Re: Uk specification
well it appears that I can fit the later grab rail if I fancy ....... ill have to see how it looks and decide
Thanks for all the help folks

Anyone got one to sell ? (STANLEY 29949) 045 6692
Yes, I know that I have asked before ??
I think I have one... the numbers are the same?
I just thought it was old and so recently replaced it with a new, genuine 29931, from Z-Power.
