Contact for machined parts

#1 PostAuthor: brian 1100 » Wed Dec 06, 2017 4:27 pm

Anyone know of a good contact?
I need some caliper mounting brackets made (I want to fit larger front discs as the current ones overheat on the track).
I've sent drawings to a couple of people and had no response.

Thanks

Brian

Try Mike at Full Metal Ornament.

I've used him a few times and have been very happy with the service/products.

I might know a man that can help.

What form are the drawings in?

Gingerbear thanks for the contact.
Zedhead, I have drawings in Autocad format if you have another contact.
I have a Dymag front wheel and specially made discs to fit the wheel with standard calipers and 280mm discs.
They overheated so I had brackets made to fit Tokico two pot calipers for which I can could buy race pads. I did this and they still overheat.
I now want to upgrade to 310mm discs -these calipers are used on various bikes with discs up to this size.
Alan at Kipkawa made the last set of brackets but has now retired.

If there are sources for this type of work, can we share them round in public please ? Lots of us have projects on the boil :)

FMO looks very interesting.
Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better :)
