Ok, here goes (Z1a).
All electrics have been wired and working except for the idiot light in the rev counter.
Bulb has checked out ok.
Got a feeling it is the brake outage switch but when this went on my Z1000a2 the idiot bulb kept flashing .
Brake light works OK using front and rear, I have tried removing the rear bulb and still nothing from the idiot light when braking.
Could anyone confirm, I can't get hold of one to try ?
Thanks

Re: Stop Light Idiot Warning
Does sound like the outage relay has gone West.Function of it though is to cause the brake idiot lamp to flash when rear brake filament has blown.

Re: Stop Light Idiot Warning
Steve, can you swap the outage switch with the one off your a2 to prove or eliminate it?

Just being lazy Dave
I hate taking the tank off the A2, fuel pipes are so tight, and my garage so cold
Will do

I am just thinking these are bound be at a premium even if you find one. I guess you would not be a happy bunny if it turned out to be something else
Re: Stop Light Idiot Warning
For some reason I didn't think the A had one, thought it was only z1b onwards.

Re: Stop Light Idiot Warning
As far as I am aware the Z1a & Z1b had the same Rev Counter, only the Speedo changed.
