Kill Switch

#1 PostAuthor: AlanB » Fri Dec 22, 2017 6:12 pm

On my 79 z1000 A2 - Normally should the engine still turnover (but not fire up) when the starter button is pressed and kill switch "off" ? Cheers all :wow

When working on turbo zeds, I always reconfigure the wiring so it WILL spin over in the off position.
This is handy so that you can ensure full oil supply to the turbo before flicking over to run position.

I've wired mine so that the kill switch cuts power to the coils and the Dyna ignition, the starter buttons power is controlled by the ignition switch, this means I can turn the engine over without having to worry about earthing the ignition.

My Husqvarna 610 was wired like this as standard.
