Thread damage on stud - replace?

Hi,
I was cleaning up the threads on the 12 engine studs from my Z400J project.
2 of the studs have a straight line "groove" in the threads, at the bottom end that goes into the crankcase.
I assume this isn't normal?
Will they need replacing, or is it ignorable?
Thanks for any advice.

Looks like someone has put a saw cut across the threads to make them act as a thread cleaner or to true the threads in the alloy case.
Most likely the first 2 or 3 threads in the case were burred.
They are only on the threaded part and don't weaken the actual stud so i'd use them.

As long as the stud threads are not burred they should be fine to reuse.

That's good to know, thanks.
Also, ta to Zed1015 for the reason the marks are there- never knew of that.

That's very kind of you, if I get cold feet about using them I'll get back to you.
If you have other Z400J stuff do let me know- not too many owners out there!
