Removed the tank and the rubbers supporting it are all over the place, should they slide around ? And where should they be on the bars?

2 round blind bungs...... ( one either side of Headstock ) and 2 x split, cyindrical ribbed rubber mounts.. about 40 mm long are placed horizontally ..ruffly over the top of the carbs ..... If you look from behind & under the tank with the rubbers placed there & then slide them a little back or forth & experiment to find where you they sit nicely ... Note * the further forward towards the headstock you slide those rubbers the higher it will lift the rear end of the tank ! until the up face of the tank makes contact with the underside of the seat ...at that point any tank vibes will undoubtly remove your tanks paint at the contact point - the bonus however is ..... it will then also give you a lesser main tank fuel range-volume BUT a massive "reserve capacity" of about over a Gallon ! Cheers Bud
