steering lock barrel

#1 PostAuthor: crossthread » Thu Mar 22, 2018 3:51 pm

My Rickmans PO lost the key and drilled out the steering lock barrel . It looks similar to a picture I get when I google z1 lock but I've never seen one in the flesh. (not in the ignition , this one goes in the frame) Anyone know what Rickmans used ?

Hi crossthread

maybe a picture of the place where the lock should be might help...
The Z1 steering lock was positioned in the bottom yoke. Other Kawasaki types had the steering lock positioned in the frame tube. I have no idea where the lock of a Rickman is positioned.

Thanks Philippe. I should have explained . It fits into a keyhole shaped tube welded on the frame headtube. I will post photos later. (or Mrs crossthread will , she understands these things)

Thanks z1bman . I suppose my original post should read " is this a Kawasaki part?"
