Z thou a2 brake prob

#1 PostAuthor: mark d » Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:49 pm

Hi my mate has a z thou a2 which he has converted to the double disc set up
Is the master cylinder set up for this ? as he cant get a good brake or does it have to be a different master cylinder piston ? Looking on the z power site he says there are two lengths !
Thanks
Mark

I think you would need a 5/8 master cylinder I am sure someone will correct me if it’s wrong

This a2 has a 4 sided standard master cylinder wider at one end than the other , I thought it was only the rounded type that caused a problem with the double disc ?

David Silvers, get one for a Cb750 f2,its exactly the same generic copy and usually cheaper.same ones are readily available on ebay as well, though round not squarish,or get the original bored out to 5/8.

Hi I have a leaking 14mm master cylinder on an A2 and the cylinder has a groove from corrosion.
Do you know where I could get it bored out to 5/8 inch?
I would prefer to keep it original if possible.
