Z 1000ST Bleed valve

#1 PostAuthor: Dunlop4 » Sun May 27, 2018 3:09 pm

I am bleeding the brakes on a z 1000st and fluid is leaking past the bleed valve. I am a bit nervous to tighten them any further. I bought the bleed valves from powerhouse from ebay. \has any one else had trouble with after market bleed valves?

I bought some stainless bleed nipples from an Ebay seller (not Powerhouse) and found that the taper seat was completely the wrong angle compared to the originals and would never have seated. From memory the originals had a 45 degree taper seat and the replacements were 60 or 70 degrees. Worth checking as no amount of tightening is likely to seal it and you may damage the seat in the caliper.
