As the genuine shop manual makes no reference to the head sizes, can anyone please confirm what the standard size valves should be in a 78 Z1R ?
I have 30mm for exhaust and 36mm for inlet
They are all of the round collet type.

Additionally, the valve sets offered by Z-Power also have no head size reference either. Very helpful.

Thanks Will

All the same size on all the kickstart engines.
36mm in and 30mm ex.
Early 900 motors has squared collet groove and the rest are round.

Thought as much Rob, just testing my aging sanity.
Just sorting through my old valve train parts, found a set of 38mm inlet and 32mm exhaust Manley valves out of my old Manzano head when I used to drag race in the 80s.

I think the square tops, MKII etc have the bigger valves?

Square top MK2/ST etc have the same 30/36 valves.
It's just the H type injection heads that has them 1mm bigger at 31/37.
