Centre stand spring.
Have just bolted main stand to bike, 1979 model. Wanted to ask here if the spring for it before being fitted looks to be about 25/30 mm shorter than when attached? Assuming this seems right does anyone have tip for fitting it that doesn’t involve blood and swearing! I have a faint memory of pain from my younger years when doing similar tasks. Thanks, Ian.
Re: Centre stand spring.
Put spring on b4 you bolt on stand, leave bike on side stand, there is not much tension when stand is up,use i rod or screwdriver to lever stand on position then insert bolts,or use spring puller, easy to make just a hook with a loop on the end.
