Side stand washer tab- orientation

I thought putting on the side stand would be so simple...
There's a tabbed washer that goes on the side stand assembly, where the bolt goes through.
There are two ways this could go on, but I'm not sure which is correct.
The parts diagram implies tab facing up, but it's not 100% clear.
The manual doesn't mention it, at least I can't find it.
So, here are the options.
Tab High

or Tab Low
