Cam Chain tension

Hi Folks,
A quick question to make sure I am not going mad.. just putting the top end back together all the marks line up 28th link on the correct cam shaft cog... Currently the cam cover is off but when I turn it over (with a spanner on the crank) there is one point in the rotation where the cam chain is slack and the idler cog is doing little.

Is this normal?

The bike is supposed to run the hill at Prescott tomorrow :-) Thanks in advance for any comments.

Cheers
Paul

Did you get this sorted ?
Either the tensioner is backing off/not locked or the camchain has slipped to one side of the crank and is not on the sprocket.
