You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter

Paul,
I clean and reapply each year and the tap remains free and doesn't leak.

I use the same method. The Zed taps were always stiff. (ooerr missus)

Mine has been effective for about 4 years now, so it would seem it IS petrol and ethanol resistant :D
Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better :)

Mine was stiff, probably due to lack of use, tank would sometimes move when I used it, tried some wd40 on it and it has loosened up a tad ... still stiff but even Mrs H can use it .... more oooo er ?.
