Fast / slow indicators

My z9 A4 indicators speed up or slow down with the engine speed. I have recently restored the bike fitted new battery ect charging all ok. But this has all ways happened since owning the bike for 22years . Since restoring it I connected the indicator warning siren embarrassing when coming up to junctions people there sounds like a dying duck when it slows down lol. Is this a regulator problem ?
