Brake squealing

#1 PostAuthor: jonhunt » Tue Jul 03, 2018 11:11 am

My front brakes squeal like a stuck pig. Tried copper slip to no avail pads are old but have life left. Maybe a change of pads to new ones would fix. Any thoughts?

Well, I have replaced the pads, the feeder pipes as one had started to leak, new lever ( old one had an oval hole) & new fluid. Short run, no squeak. Need a good ride out but been away for work.

Brake squeal is always down to the pads vibrating in the caliper.

Usually caused by old pads, sticking pistons, occasionally a warped disc. It's nearly always a simple fix.
Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better :)
