Re: Z1000-A1 rear brake master cylinder bleeding
I'm having similar problems with mine (A1 rear caliper). When i pull the fluid through with my vaccuum pump, air seems to be getting in down the bleed nipple thread. Anyone know of a way of sealing the threads without blocking the oil way at the bottom? The nipple seems quite loose in the thread. Is it a case of machining a new thread?

I've stumped up for a new seal set which includes a new nipple. I'll give them a service and see if the new nipple is tighter. Are these calipers usually ok to bleed?

A couple of twists of ptfe tape on the nipple thread stops air getting in, my dad taught me this in the late Seventies and i never have a problem with bleeding.

love the ptfe idea kev. Just plumbed an entire central heating system and used yards of it but it STILL didn't occur to me!
