Right guys new project.
I bought this 12 months ago as a non runner man said ecu/cdi no good.
I have now got around to having a go at making it run before i strip it to restore.
I have bought a cdi guaranteed working no spark still.
I bought some coils as they were for nothing £20 not fit them yet.
Is there a common fault ie broken wires ignition switch kill switch or do i have to go through it all?
Help would be appreciated.

Check for 12v at the red wire going to the coils with ignition on and kill switch at run postion.

Also check 12v at the brown going to the igniter unit.

If both are good and the igniter is known to be 100% good, measure the resistance of the pulsar coil is 423 - 517 ohms

If you have 12v on the brown but none of the red wires, check the kill switch. The brown is the switched 12v from the ignition switch feeding everywhere on the bike.

i repaired two with no spark turned out to be bad connection in wiring harness where water had penetrated./ (multiple wire connections) also check the grey wire at the ignition switch it should have more than 7.2 volts . have you checked the side stand switch ?
