Airbox identification

#1 PostAuthor: GuyHughes » Fri Sep 07, 2018 5:07 pm

I believe the one on the right is for the Z1000 A1 but what is the other off? I just brought it over from the US with its silencer which is what I needed for the box on the right.

I take it the silencer is which came with it is the same for either box as it looks correct.

Once I have identified the left one I'll be putting it up for sale, it is complete internally if not a little dirty will need new boots and clips.

I am looking for the plate that holds the boots in for the box on the right if anyone has one, part 11040-001.

Later model z1000 (like MK2) as the USA models had the extra gubbins to suck air from the airbox into the exhaust manifold for emissions.

Thanks for that, might have no option, however I'd like to try and find a plastic one to keep the bike as close to original as possible, bit pricey to. Seems mad we have to order one from the other side of the world!

I have those thanks, in fact I've 4 two in each box, I've also just managed to fix the cracks in the plastic plate with a blow torch and knife, got the knife glowing red and smeared it over the cracks seemed to work fine.

Mind you the price of the internal plates I might break the Z1r box up and sell the bits separately to recoop some of the funds the bike is absorbing! That one in the link was not cheap!
