Think I need to replace a cap on my 79 Z1000 A2 so will do all 4 I think - If I replace like for like with NGK caps, which ones do I need and are the inner/outer ones the same ? Also are there any tips on fitting ie do you simply unscrew the old and screw on the new ones ? Thanks all.

You need either no resistor on cap and plug or either one to have a resistor but not both.

If you are replacing the plugs be certain to get genuine Ngk loads of copies out there,Denso are a better bet...

Warren never heard of resistor on one or other before , but must admit ngkb8es used to go down a lot on startup on my old z900 , one wet , useless , wonder if that was the prob , But it sounds like the combination spoke of here is wrong

Not sure why we bother with any resistors, either plugs or caps, these days. As far as I cant tell, the only reason to run resistors anywhere in that circuit is so it doesn't interfer with the old analog tv signals. As they are all digital now I dont see any benifit. I prefer the look of ngk non resistor black caps and run non resistor denso plugs. No resistors at all means one thing less to go wrong!
