Z900 - Z1000 VM26 carb difference

#1 PostAuthor: ZedHead » Sun Sep 23, 2018 5:04 pm

Guys,

Apart from jetting are there any significant differences between the VM26 carbs fitted to Z900 and ones fitted to Z1000?

Cheers

Dave

Have replied to this on FB.
All VM26's on 900 and 1000 are basically the same bodies and all parts interchangable.

Certain carbs have short pilot jets, the spare set i have for the ltd models have long pilot jets, the ones on my bike are from an A2 have the short jets and it used to have a ltd stand and when left on the side stand it would stall, got an A2 stand and that cured the problem.
