4:2 exhausts....z1000 A options ??
So this evening my original left hand silencer spat out the drain screw and the surrounding area, I am going to look into getting it repaired and re chromed but do I have other options ? has anyone got a can hidden somewhere or have you found/fitted pattern or stainless systems?? ... I am really not into the 4:1 or 4:4 look, ideally would like to look sound as Oe as possible .......I know it’s not going to be a cheap fix
Re: 4:2 exhausts....z1000 A options ??
I ask Z power only today , if there were plans for a pattern system , like they have done with the 900 , Phil said no plans as to tooling up cost .
With the amount of z1000 A1 and 2 on the Road , would of thought different

Try John Browse Motorcycles in Wrexham he has a few different Z exhausts within his vast collection of Kawasaki Spares.

Be interesting to know if anyone on here has bought a set, and what they think of them, i would consider a set at that price if they were good quality and a close match to the originals (on a par with the 900 4+4s).

There have been a few threads on this over the last few years. Search the forum.
There is also OS Pipes, but you have to leave your bike with them for a week. More than half the cost of the French chaps.

On first look the OS cans are noticeably thinner and don’t have the taper down at the front , I assume this is to avoid the shaping for stands etc ... the French ones seem fatter but finding it hard to get any info atm

You'll find it hard to get info from the French guys. I tried about 5 times and all I got back was some really poor photos...

You can fit repros if you are prepared to separate the silencer from mid section.
Would only look ok if you did both sides though !!
The last pic on my ebay advert shows it done on a Z1000.

However -
Z650 silencers are round profile and Z1000 have a flat spot on the inner edge.
so . . they might need a spacer to kick them out a bit and stop them fouling on whatever the flat spot is avoiding.
Just a thought.

I like these - you may have to add a silencer mounting plate as these are made for the Z1.
