#1 PostAuthor: PAULJAC47 » Thu Oct 11, 2018 7:10 pm

Guyz ,Looking for some dimensions if anyone has a z thou a1 or a2 caliper in bits, need piston dimensions diameter and length, gap between piston bores when pistons fully back,.....got a rotor here 7mm,new pads are 9mm apiece, disc rotor is dead central, thinking may have mismatch of bits, reckon would need to lose 3mm at the mo so brakes wouldnt bind..Ta Paul J

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter

Thats Great Adrian, explains why my set up is binding,my rotor is 7mm,new pads are supplied as 9mm or 8mm a piece plus 1mm for the anti rattle shims, that makes 7+8+8+1=24 at the best some pads are 7+9+9+1=26,both way over 22.6 as you state, whats the thickness of your rotor? are your pads thinner than 8mm?..Many Thanks Paul J

The disc is 7mm will check the pads pretty sure I couldn’t use the anti rattle shims and had to file down the pads to get them to fit.
Will check pad thickness tomorrow.
