Paintwork

#1 PostAuthor: King of Kings » Wed Oct 17, 2018 12:13 pm

Was wondering what sort of money a Z1000A1 paintset is worth these days? All genuine parts, fresh new paint in the US A2 black/gold stripes, new genuine fuel cap and tap.

If the paint is to a high standard and the tank is clean inside I would think £750

Was thinking around £700 - 800 area - as a decent paint job is around £500 + cost of parts.

As above Al.

Even a scabby paint set will cost £3-4 hundred ('IF' you could get one). Stick on another £500 for a proper paint job and a set could run into the late hundreds.

Was thinking that Gaz, always good to have assurance of ones peers tho! The paint cost £600, and then there’s the new genuine cap and fuel tap, which no doubt are NLA!

That doesn't look too shabby, I wonder what the reserve is on that set - if it has one?

That set on eBay is pretty awful compared to mine :) plus my tank and panels have genuine nos badges fitted.
