Igniter KZ1100R and ZX1100A1

Does anyone know if a ZX1100A1 (GPz Unitrack) IGNITER Part 211191071 Will work on a KZ1100R, the KZ1100R Part is 211191104, all though the parts look the same I have been told the GPz1100A1 Unitrack Igniter may advance the timing. I need the part to finish my KZ1100R, I understand the other type that is metal from a Z1000J Although doesn't look the same has the same connections and will work on the bike. it seems the original type is not available anywhere, so looking for alternatives.

a kawasaki mechanic once told me that electronic igniters are interchangeable. my gpz1100b one blew and was replaced with a new one (a z750e one i think) in 1984. I've always kept a spare one since. i have part number 21119-1020 i could live without if you want to research compatibility. cheers mark

ignition advance is the same on both models ( z1100r1 gpz1100 /a1/a2 ) i cannot see why a 1100a1/a2 wouldnt work on a z1100r1
