Would anyone know if i can get a takeoff for the crankcase oil pressure switch?
I have installed an oil cooler on my z1000a2 and had to get a crankcase takeoff to enable the fitting of the cooler pipes and the oil pressure switch. If i want to do the same thing on a Gpz1100b1 can i simply just purchase another z1000 takeoff or would it be specific to Gpz?
Where can i get one?

I'm not certain, but I suspect the take-off might be specific to the air cooled GPz1100 and the ELR Z1000R/J motors.
You may find one on here (or FleaBay) but they're not common any more.
If you really get stuck, then I know that HEL Performance are capable of making one.
I bought a prototype kit from them last year for my 1000J, but I don't know whether they have any intention in marketing the kit at some point. If there's enough interest then they may?
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=43478So they can manufacture one, though you may have to make a special order.
I dealt with Simon Lane who designed it. The take-off was a very nice piece, though you would obviously need to get the correct unions to fit.

There's no OPS on that Gus, probably a ZX (Uni) one that.

Rick, do you happen to have a diagram/autocad/engineering drawing with dimensions etc?
If so, i can replicate one.

Sorry no, I don't have any detailed dimensions or drawings, and now it's all bolted on the bike.
I suspect HEL might freeze over

if I did have these and just gave 'em away !
The standard pressure sensor screws into the top, so that's the same dimensions if you've got one to hand.
The securing bolt size and spacing are standard too.
The outlet / inlet just need to match the hose adapters you want to use.
Don't know whether you can make something from that?

I have these at the moment if you wish to borrow to make some up but will need them back fairly soon ish could let them go for a few weeks.
I believe the one on the left is original
The one on the right is afterkarket and the connection threads allow for fitment of AN type fittings. I think the thread is G1/4.

Guys, thanks for the help. I’m going to need a fair bit of help in the coming months. I’m new to Gpz’s. Al, that eBay link is exactly what I’m looking for, cheers.

OOer, gone are the days of deep sumps with oil cooler take offs, Grumpy1260 might be able to sort you out with stuff like this, I did buy off him years ago stuff to do my 1075st, however, I can lay my grubbies on stainless or brass 90 degree block unions in various forms, a good parts list book from Goodridge will give you a better idea, daft arsed fittings are part of my job in the pressure washer world, mechanically can join owt to owt, Iv'e had Gpz's in my youth, set up properly in a straight line, just a handful to get round corners, ho ho
