Hello ...can anyone point me in the direction of a step by step guide to degreeing in camshafts on a Z1 please

One of the easiest (for me) set of instructions to follow came from Joe Hooper. I'll see if I can find them and scan them for you.

Just take it steady - needs alternator cover off too!

Some are more clearer than others.

Thanks for that ..all very interesting and I think i will be able to do it

Just one question ..... in the first magazine article they say set the valve clearances and in the 2 links they say remove all valve lash ...... do they mean excess lash or set the valve clearance to zero ?

You can use whatever lash you want or even negative clearance, the maths will always give the same results .
I set the clearance at what the engine will be run at.
When done you want to run 0.15mm .
