Hi guys,
Is it practical/possible to lower the centre stand by lifting the back end with a person either side and one of us kicking the centre stand down
The front end is clamped on a lowered ramp and an exhaust is not fitted.

Haha, Motorcycle World days, Bradford, z1300 six of us, so to your question, yes, but only if your mates are stood on summat but also make sure as hell that front wheel besides being clamped is strapped so it can't come out, and put a tiewrap on front brake lever to lock front wheel, overkill is always the best way, coz if you don't, shit will always happen, an easier way though is to invest in the fancy bench lift which goes under front frame rails, then you can do it yourself have a good one

how the F*** did you get in such a situation? Make sure there's enough guys to support the bike when lifting it.

Hi Phillipe,
Its a short bike ramp, and I cannot run it forward enough to set it back on the centre stand. I have the front wheel firmly clamped and straps to keep it upright..took 2 people to steady the ship.
I do have a small lift but I doubt if it will go on the existing ramp.

Er..it's a bike on a ramp with straps on it and the front wheel clamped...much like a roadside recovery vehicle.
Will try and see if the small ramp fits underneath

Problem solved, got it on the centre stand on my own.
Small ramp onto my bigger ramp then jacked the back end up.
All good!!

Begin to strip the back end off after new year,
Wheel off and restore, wrong rim on (No markings) and from paint to repair, swinging arm off and powdercoat.

Nice one, my knees are knackered kneeling down to fix stuff throughout my life, not any more though working at a decent height it's great on bench

I'm lucky enough to have a cross beam in the shed so I can use a pulley to lift the rear end up.
