Indicators on my A2 (both sides) seem to flash erratically ie double flash/flicker for a while occasionally and then often return to normal - All bulbs are working ie none blown - Any ideas please ? Thanks all

Do you have the earth wire properly grounded to the frame/main earth wire?

Look on the bright side, at least they work better than BMW, AUDI and MERCEDES indicators , probably just a dodgy connection, have you swapped the flasher unit with the hazard one to eliminate that, just need to work methodically to trace it.

Hi Alan
as stated above: a bad connection of the electrical wires or a defect flasher unit.
You have to find it out by eliminating the possible causes.
Good luck

99.9% of indicator problems are caused by bad earths, 0.1% are the relay. :D

Hi Alan
if the hazard lights work OK , the flasher relay could be the problem. You can change the two relays to see if one of them causes the problem. The flasher relay for the turn signal is situated at the left hand side of the battery box, the hazard relay on the right hand side, near the rear brake master cylinder. The relays are little aluminium coloured cylinders and they sit in a rubber damper. Don't be afraid to take the wires off and change them from one place to another.
Find out if the turn signal relay is defect. If your turn signals work OK with the hazard relay you only have to replace the defect relay by a good one.
If there's no change give a shout!
Good luck
Philippe
