Mk2 seat part number location

Does anyone know the location of the part no. on the mk2 seat pan, I was told awhile ago by the previous owner that he had bought a Z1000ST seat by mistake, this seat came with the bike when I brought it home.
Today I thought give it a clean up and put it on eBay, while cleaning the pan I noticed the info sticker and although the part that states the model type has some damage still visible are the letters A3A and apart from the emission info part number everything is the same

Morning Phillippe

I hope these pics are enough to identify the seat. As can be seen it has no brackets so has not been put on to see if it fits

I have just seen the pics you posted on the differences between the ST and the MK2 (wish I had looked earlier ), and the seat I have has the 3 holes for the rear seat hinge,

Hi Gavin
the one you have is a MK2 seat pan.
The distance between the centre of the first bolt hole of the front hinge and the centre of the last bolt of the rear seat hinge is approx 275 mm.

approx 275 mm

The distance between the centre of two seat rubbers on either side (from left to right hand side) of the seat pan is 185 mm. If you have the seat hinges and the lock bracket it's complete.
A hard to find object, are you sure you're going to put it on ebay?

Thanks Phillippe

Not sure I need 2 seats as the one on the bike is in better condition, I just need to think about how much it is worth, the pics are as much as I have, no brackets etc.

I would be surprised if the MK2 seat fitted 1000H as the tank is bigger, not that I have tried

Well! I never knew that, having had both I would have said apart from fuel take-offs they were identical, and the seat would be interchangeable, but I will chew popcorn and watch this....

I can understand the ST being different. But MkIi and H different- beggars belief.
