J/R/GPz engine mounts

#1 PostAuthor: chrisNI » Tue Feb 26, 2019 7:07 pm

On the J/R/GPz (and possibly others) the rubber engine mounts have metal / rubber washer things that go outside the rubber mounts at the front. In the manual it says to stick them on with adhesive of some sort, can anyone recommend a product?

I use Loctite SI 5980 to stick literally everything on my bike. Sometimes comes in useful round the house too. :D

Just need to check the date code stamped on the crimped end of the tube itself because its only any good for six months and they dont seem to sell it quickly enough!!

all above recommendations are probably equally valid, but double sided tape will do the same job, as it only has to keep the rubbers in place while you fuck about, trying to get the engine bolts back in place.polygrip false tooth glue would probably be ample.. fuckthake..
