Hello,
just painted my crank cases with PJ1, had good reviews? Cases were aqua-blasted, washed with soapy water, dried and warmed plus the tin. Applied approx 6-7 coats at 10 minute gaps and kept warm for 4-5 hours afterwards. Pleased with the finish but time will tell?
Cheers.

Thanks doggie,
Sand the flaking bits off, degrease , warm up then paint on warm cases is the way to go I think.
Engine in situ, carbs off, exhaust not bought/fitted yet, masking all over. Will wait till weather picks up. Have 2 Bmw's to ride

I have always used Simoniz tough black as Rob says the more coats you use the shinier you can make it. Engine in the photo was painted with this paint and the cases powdercoated.
