Hi
On my Z1000-A1 the fork damper rods are the almost round variety and no-one appears to do a tool for these - or do they? Or do I have to make my own :(

Oops - I see that someone in the States does one. Anyone in the UK?

A photo of a similar damper is attached.

Cheers

Hi Twyver
ask Willem of classickawaparts in Holland. He has a set of those tools for all the dampers. He understands English.
Here's the link:

go for it.

i welded a small piece of tube to a threaded bar then squished it a little in the vice until it fitted over and held it lightly .... worked a treat

I got a local engineering company to make me a suitable gadget to do the job. Maybe not the cheapest option, but it is good quality & does the job !

Thanks all. Yes I've ordered a bit of 19mm steel pipe and I'm going to try to make one myself.

still looking for one of these, i managed the last time with a broom (yes i know) but did not feel it was secure enough to tighten back up. You used to be able to get one from Aus but i think they are sold out now, the suzuki one looks correct but has anyone tried one. I have dropped a not to the chap in NL but i think he just sells a set.
