Front mudguard

The front mudguard on my Z1 has a couple of minor dents and a scratch, can it be repaired? No rust just dents and scratch, I don't want to throw it away. If successful, I can rehome.
Thanks

Every now and again a dent can be pushed out on chrome parts. The last two mudguards I restored, I had them dechromed, then took them home and repaired the dent myself. I used to be a panel beater which helps. Then had the chrome redone.

Thanks for that, I'm trying to save original parts and would welcome a repair. Don't know who to approach locally (wakefield/Leeds)

Would suggest you strip the chrome off and - Talk to Mark Hutchinson at Pontefract Panel and Paint. Club member Hutch.

Cash via a plating shop, you won't have the things needed to do it at home.

Try Agbrigg Chrome in Leeds or Quality Chrome Plating in Hull.

Agbrigg did this for me last week.

I have just had a front fender, sorry mud guard repaired, had the chrome stripped of by the chrome man, then took it to a top man who welded the rust damage, ground down, never know it was damaged, gone back to the chrome man.

Apologies should have said take to plating company and get them to strip chrome.
Then take to hutch @ Pontefract panel and paint, to repair
Then back to plating company for rechrome.

What's those plastic bits in the hub? Some of mine are broken, can I replace them? Look like rivet heads but white plastic.
Thanks

They are plugs for the bolts which secure the chrome dust cap bolts fit into.
