Engine oil

Can someone please enlighten me , how much oil goes in to the engine , have tried finding a thread for this but can not find one . Have in the manual 4L is this right or is it a bit less , on a Z1 Thanks in advance :D

Going to answer my own question here , about 1/2 cup less than 4L is on the upper mark ,have a laugh on me , thanks for reading :D :D :D :D

Hi Marmck
it depends on if you changed the oil filter or not!
I start with putting the bike on the main stand.
I allways pour 3,5 liters in after I've changed the oil filter, start the engine , let it idle until the red warning light is off and stop the engine.
I let it rest for half an hour and then I look at the oil level. I fill it with oil to just under the upper mark. Never had problems that way.

Hi philippe , yes I changed the filter , I think thats how I had a blonde moment , as I had seen 4L including filter , when I think about it if you dont change the filter there is still some left in it , so 4L would be too much, thanks Martin
