can anyone recommend a good strobe timing light for the zed , copper core leads on , and boyer digital ignition

i use a snap-on with digital rpm indicator BUT for very scarce usage a cheap one should be ok or borrow one maybe? good luck. m

Just a heads up, Some modern strobes will melt a reg rectifier set up unless they are powered from a separate battery. Don't ask me how I know!

I use an old gunson one, I timed many xt500 motors with this, always making new timing marks due to wear and tear, much the same as our own puppies, which are more or less the same principle kinell me mates gorra scott and the advance retard lever is on the handlebars, we have the old bobweights in the rh casing for the of us with points, as does the early electronic ign kwacks until the digi stuff where its done in the compy, all good fun innit? unlike my little mate, who tootles down to the petrol station I Bingley, to fill up his Yammy xjr13sp, fills it up goes to pay comes back helmet, gloves on, turns it on hits the start button and......nothing, Its Sunday eve, i.m just going to have a beer, the phone goes, Its a good job I never take the bike ramp off the van.

I use one of these does all i need, i have always used a separate battery, told by me dad too years ago.

I use a cheap analogue AccuSpark.
Works fine as long as you follow the instructions, and use a separate electrical source (spare battery?).
