took delivery of the Z1R from the US this week. I had noticed that it didn't have the spring loaded seat lock cover so i had order one in preparation.
Can anyone help with a picture from underneath of one that is installed.
The spring seems to be too long and although i can get it located over the cover spigot, tension the spring and lock it into the forked end of the spigot, when i compress it it just springs back out!
Can anyone help?

Re: Z1R Seat lock cover
Hi rpeters
you have to insert the spring and close the two forks by bending them carefully! It's a one way ticket so do it correct the first time!
If you want to open the fork again one of the legs will probably break off...
Good luck

Re: Z1R Seat lock cover
Hi Rob
do you mean the complete air filter box or only the silencer?
If it's the silencer, it looks the same as the one from a Z1000A1 or A2 or A3 ...
Pretty easy to find pictures on the web, just go for it.
