Gents,
My GPz750R1 runs fine when it's cold, but as it warms up eventually it misfires then cuts out. Once it's been allowed to cool down, we're off again and it runs fine. Then gets hot, misfires and cuts out...
Whilst it's not strictly a bike covered by the Z1OC, I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with any of their bikes and can point me in the right direction so I can get it sorted.
If this is in the wrong section, then apologies in advance.
thanks,
Gary.

Sounds electrical if' it's heat/resistance related.
If the whole system shuts down it's likely the ignitor .
If it's just a couple of cyls then coil or pick-up.
I'd check the fuel tank breather first though just in case it's the tank vacuuming and starving the carbs.
Simple to check by opening the cap as soon as it cuts out and if there's a big hiss that's your problem.
Also worth going through the harness and checking all the fuse and block connectors as a simple mucky spade can cause this.
Should be easy to spot as there should be signs of arcing at the offending joint.

Re: bike cuts out when hot.
Have you checked the plugs. If they are sooty, you are probably running rich. This can cause the problems you describe

Thanks for your replies, gents.
It's got new coils, HT leads, plug caps and plugs fitted. I guess that points to the ignitor?

This does sound like the pulsar coils, I've come across this scenario loads of times.
To check, remove the RH cover from the engine exposing the pulsar coils and ride it around with the cover removed.
The air will cool the pulsars and it shouldn't cut out as quick as before. This should then confirm what's been suggested.
