Dyna s ignition and M unit wiring?

#1 PostAuthor: Leelofty101 » Sun May 05, 2019 3:07 pm

Hi guys,
I'm currently rewiring my z1k with an M unit. For those of you that have never heard of one, the 'M' unit is a clever bit of kit that reduces the need for loads of wires and replaces the fuse box and flasher units etc. !! It becomes like an ECU. Generally used on custom, cafe racers etc.
Here's my problem.. I have a Dyna S ignition and coils system fitted and when the very kind Chris Poll came and helped me rewire these I'm not sure whether we disconnected the IC Igniter or not?? I think we did!! After looking at the manual wiring diagram and the M unit instructions I've come to a dead end!! It looks to me that I can wire the Dyna S without the IC Igniter but I'm not certain.
Chris mentioned 'Pigford' could help but any help from anyone would be brilliant.
I'm almost ready to get the bike on the road after this has been sorted.
Many thanks. ( I live in Aylesbury btw ) :D

Dyna 'S' doesn't use an ignitor.
Just switched live to the pickups.
