I have a 1976 Z900 A4. I have replaced the exhaust with a 4 into 4, Cleaned the carbs and installed Standard Jets.
A friend of mine was going to come around on Saturday to tune the Carbs using the gauges he uses on his Hodna, he has just told me that I need to reset the tappers before I tune the carbs?
Is this correct?
If it is correct is it Shims or tappets?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Carb tuning and tappets
They are shims, and yes you need to check those, also cam chain tension, engine timing, a whole service really with the carb balancing last.

Oh Bugger, I’ll have to get that done somewhere then as it is beyond me.
