Oil pump

#1 PostAuthor: King of Kings » Fri Jun 21, 2019 1:38 pm

Hey all, I’ve found what seems to be the remains of an old cardigan in me sump and oil pump screen  Any particular pitfalls to removing said pump and refitting it with motor in frame?

Hi King of Kings
remove the exhaust, drain the oil, remove the oil filter, remove the sump, remove the oil pump (3 bolts), clean it all out, use new gaskets and assemble again. Don't forget to put a new O-ring in when putting the oil pump back on. It could take a few hours, good luck!

Even better, raid a good old mattress carefully with no tank or paintwork on tip your baby on its side and attack, though not recommended in peeing down rain hoho

Hi King of Kings
it's situated between the oil pump and the cranckcase at the oil passage. It's a thick O-ring.
It has productnumber 92055-048.
You could also change the large O-ring (diameter 92 mm) between the cranckcase and the sump (92055-052) and even the one between the oil filter and the oil filter cover (diameter 105 mm) (671B25105).
Good luck
